Management Consultant - Space Sector
We are hiring a Management Consultant with a strong interest in geospatial and space-based data applications, including Earth Observation (EO), to join our growing team. You will support projects which leverage these capabilities to address real-world challenges in security and defence, emergency management, and environmental monitoring. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop as a management consultant within the space sector, working on strategic, analytical, and communication-focused tasks which help public sector and industry clients turn markets insights into actionable decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Development of use cases highlighting the value of geospatial and space-based capabilities across domains such as security and defence, disaster risk reduction & emergency response, as well as sustainability and climate applications
- Analyse EU environmental legislation and policies to extract relevant inputs for technical studies
- Manage programmes and projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client objectives
- Design and deliver reports or presentations for client audiences
- Communication planning, including strategies which support user uptake and awareness of space-based or geospatial capabilities
- Coordinate community engagement activities such as stakeholder workshops, user networks, and outreach initiatives
- Develop user requirement analyses
- Support analyses related to satellite systems, data infrastructures, and space-based capabilities within client assignments
- Support the growth of our firm by identifying new opportunities and contributing to business development efforts leading all the activities related to proposal preparation and submission.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), or Business Degree (if the candidate has prior experience in the Earth Observation, security, defence, or related institutional sectors)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in management consulting, preferably within the space, aerospace, or high-tech sectors, security, defence, or institutional/public sector environments
- Familiarity with consulting skill sets: problem-solving, outstanding writing and presentation skills
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
- Good and documented interpersonal and communication skills in English; proficiency in other European languages (especially Italian or Spanish) is a plus
- Proficient with MS Office Suite for preparing client-facing deliverables
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for short on-site mission.
