Description
EUSSO supports communication, outreach, and user engagement for the EU Space Programme on behalf of the European Commission. ALSO Space is responsible for animating the 350 members-strong EU Space Networks, supporting the operation of the EU Space helpdesk, producing editorial content, and representing the EU Space Programme at events and conferences. The activities aim to increase the global visibility and encourage the uptake of EU space data and services across a wide and diverse stakeholder community.
Results
- Successfully supporting the transition from Copernicus Networks to EU Space Networks, completed in 2024
- Organising 20+ monthly videoconferences fostering collaboration within the EU Space Networks
- Assisting network members in the organisation of 60+ events, including multilingual events, supporting capacity building on EU space data and services
- Publishing 30+ bi-weekly network newsletters, 120+ Observer newsletters, and 14 podcasts under the EUSSO contract
- Organising 2 EU Space Networks General Assemblies, providing a strategic forum for members and stakeholders
- Processing EU Space Networks applications and expanded the networks with 45+ new members to date
- Organising 12 public educational webinars on EU Space Programme topics
- Representing the EU Space Programme at 60+ events, increasing visibility and user uptake
- Supporting the operation of the EU Space helpdesk, which handles 2,000+ inquiries annually and 5,000+ tickets to date from citizens, businesses, academia, media, and public authorities
