Description
The Earth Observation Partnership in Action event was a high-level side event held on 17 November 2025 alongside the 31st Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-31) in Cebu, Philippines. It marked the official launch of SCOPE Digital, a regional initiative scaling up the CopPhil activities to Indonesia and Thailand, and positioning Copernicus Earth Observation data as a tool for regional cooperation, climate resilience, and digital transformation in Southeast Asia.
Results
- Over 100 participants from over 15 countries.
- Coordinating speakers, moderators, logistics, and protocol to convene a multi-stakeholder international event bringing together representatives from the European Commission, the European Space Agency (ESA), ASEAN, national space agencies such as the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and Thailand’s Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), as well as other space agencies in the region such as JAXA, international research institutes and universities, and several private-sector Earth Observation and space industry representatives.
